CCYSC Dialogues: Archival Work as Praxis

The proposed panel will explore the complexities of conducting archival work on children’s lives and ideas of childhood as they navigate sometimes expected and sometimes unexpected corners. We will ask: What are the possibilities, tensions, and challenges of doing archival research on childhoods in the Global South? How does working with children in this context produce intersections that open up theoretical and methodological possibilities? What are some conventional and some under-explored sources?
